SOLIPARTY – ‚Guardians of the forest‘

Paulo Paulinho Guajajara aka ‚Lobo‘ (Wolf) wurde Anfang November 2019 brutal ermordet. Er war Teil der ‚Guardians of the forest‘ im Bundesstaat Maranhão in Brasilien, eine mutige indigene Gruppe die sich illegalen Holzfällern in den Weg stellen die täglich ihren Wald zerstören.

Wir wollen Lobo gedenken und Gelder für die Waldschützer sammeln, die ohne Unterstützung vom Staat für das kämpfen was ihnen rechtmässig zusteht: Einen der letzten Urwälder in einem Teil von Brasilien der schon weitgehend entwaldet wurde. Die politische Situation in Brasilien ist seit dem Amtsantritt von Präsident Bolsonaro mehr als brisant. Er setzt sich offen für die Zerstörung von Regenwald ein und diskriminiert indigene Völker und andere Minderheiten. Das finden wir scheisse!

Deswegen lasst uns zusammen feiern und den Menschen die ihr Leben für unseren Planeten riskieren zeigen dass sie nicht allein sind!

Um 19 Uhr geht es los mit einem Vortrag von Filmemacher Frederik Subei, der die Waldschützer für 6 Monate begleitet hat und an einem Dokumentarfilm arbeitet. Ein Trailer wird gezeigt und wir hoffen dass auch noch weitere Redner zur politischen Situation in Brasilien sprechen werden. Eure Meinung ist natürlich auch gefragt!

Im Anschluss wird euch die Band Fuxeco mit brasilianischen Forró in Partylaune bringen. Whoop! Whoop! Danach wird’s nochmal richtig heiss wenn die kolumbianischen DJs Alamidades L.O.L und Amuleto Manuela die Plattenteller drehen lassen. Also ab auf die Tanzfläche!

Dazu gibt es Caipirinha Cocktail’s …hmmm leckeromat im Vetomat! Fehlst nur noch du und die Party ist perfekt!

Paulo Paulinho Guajajara aka ‚Lobo‘ (Wolf) was brutally murdered in November 2019. He was part of the ‚Guardians of the forest‘, a brave indigenous group in the state of Maranhao in Brazil who try tp protect their forest from destruction by illegal loggers

We want to commemorate Lobo and collect funds for the forest guardians, who fight for what they are rightfully entitled: One of the last virgin forests in a part of Brazil that has been largely deforested. The political situation in Brazil has been more than explosive since the inauguration of President Bolsonaro. He openly supports the destruction of rainforest and discriminates indigenous peoples and other minorities. We think that’s shit!

So let us celebrate together and show the people who are risking their lives for our planet that they are not alone!

At 19 o’clock it starts with a talk by filmmaker Frederik Subei, who has accompanied the forest guards for 6 months and is working on a documentary. A trailer will be shown and we hope that more speakers will talk about the political situation in Brazil. Of course, your opinion is also in demand!

Afterwards the band Fuxeco will bring you in party mood with Brazilian Forró. Whoop! Whoop! Then it gets hot again when the Colombian DJs Alamidades L.O.L and Amuleto Manuela turn the turntables. So off to the dance floor!
