Ja ich weiß, es gibt in Berlin so viel Kultur, dass man schon fast kotzen möchte, aber es kann nicht genug Spoken Word-Bühnen und -Veranstaltungen geben, deshalb müsst ihr alle leider eure Tinder/OkCupid-Dates verschieben und hierhin.
Drei Monate lang gab es jede Woche eine Podcast-Folge Mic Drop, in der ein*e Spoken Word Künstler*in interviewt wurde, was allerdings ein bisschen zu kurz kam, war die Kunst auf der Bühne. Deshalb gibt’s zum Abschluss der Podcast-Serie Mic Drop on stage, ohne journalistische Interview-Attitude, aber dafür mit ganz viel Wortkunst ins SM58 (auch bekannt unter „Mikrofon“) reingedonnert und zwar von:

Moona Moon ist Poetin, Referentin, Sozialpädagogin,Empowermenttrainerin und lebt in Berlin. Sie liebt das Licht, das Leben und die richtige Art von Schatten. Sie performt auf (inter-)nationalen Poetry-Veranstaltungen, akademischen Konferenzen und politischen Veranstaltungen.

Babiche Papaya wurde 1993 in Ruanda geboren und wuchs überwiegend in Deutschland auf. Die Schauspielerin und Rapperin sammelte erste Bühnenerfahrung am Ballhaus-Naunynstrasse im Theaterstück Schizo!. Parallel drehte sie am Haus im Rahmen der Kurzfilm-Reihe Kiez-Monatsschau u.a Beiträge zu den Themen Schwarze Perspektiven und den NSU. 2014 und 15 spielt sie die Hauptrolle in der preisgekrönten Web-Serie Polyglot. Die Serie befasst sich mit dem Leben migrantischer Künstler.
In ihren Texten befasst Sie sich mit Liebe, Intersektionalität und den Herausforderungen einer schwarzen Jugend in Deutschland. Seit Oktober 2014 studiert sie an der Humboldt Universität zu Berlin African Studies und Regionalstudien mit dem Schwerpunkt Afrika.
Candice Nembhard ist eine Schwarze, britische Autorin, Gründerin eines Künstler-Kollektivs, Poetin und Prophetin. Momentan lebt sie in Berlin und arbeitet an ihrem ersten Gedichtband.

Yes I know there is so much to do in Berlin, but you can’t have enough spoken word events, so unfortunately you all have to reschedule your Tinder/OkCupid Dates and come to Vetomat.
For three months every week a spoken word artist was portrayed in every episode in the podcast series Mic Drop. What was missing though was spoken word on stage. This is why -since the podcast series is ending- there will be an edition of Mic Drop on stage, without the journalist-interview-attitude, but with a lot of poetry art by:
Moona Moon is a Berlin based poet, speaker, social pedagogue, educator, and empowerment worker. A lover of light, life, and the right kinds of shadows. She performs at (inter-)national poetry events, academic conferences, and political events.

Babiche Papaya was born in 1993 in Rwanda. She predominantly grew up in Germany. The actress and rapper collected the first stage experience at Ballhaus-Naunynstrasse in the stage play Schizo!. As part of the short films series Kiez-Monatsschau, she realized Contributions to the topics of Black Prospects and the NSU. In 2014 and ’15, she starred in the award-winning Web series Polyglot. The series deals with the life of migrant artists. In her texts, she deals with love, intersectionality and the challenges of a black youth in Germany. Since October 2014, she studies African Studies and Area Studies with the focus on Africa at the Humboldt University of Berlin.
Candice Nembhard is a Black-British writer and founder of artist collective, Poet & Prophetess. Currently, she is based in Berlin and is working on her first solo collection of poetry.
